Metahelix has strong breeding programs in rice, maize, cotton, pearl millet among the field crops; tomato, okra and hot pepper in the vegetable crops. The research team has assembled a very large collection of germplasm from various Indian and international organizations. The current focus for product development is intended for the Indian markets.
Metahelix has rigorous and market focused breeding approach. The breeding programs are spread across the country namely at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Attur. The Multi-location adaptation trials are conducted in more than 20 locations all across the country prior to releasing the hybrids to Dhaanya Seeds for pre-commercial testing. Metahelix has released many high performance hybrid seed products to Dhaanya Seeds. |
